È da mani così — mani che sanno ascoltare la materia — che prende forma il nuovo volto di Ciamp dele Strie dove Patrick e Katrin hanno saputo colmare il vuoto con presenza, trasformando il silenzio in racconto. Accanto a loro, il talento delle maestranze locali tra cui Defrancesco Arredamenti, anima artigiana della Val di Fiemme che fa di ogni spazio un atto misurato, intimo, necessario.
Qui, la materia non è ornamento: è voce.
Il legno respira e narra. Come la grande stube del 1857 — un tempo cuore di un maso contadino, oggi ritrovata e ricomposta con rispetto filologico — che torna a vivere come anima pulsante dell’habitat principale. Il living si dischiude caldo e avvolgente, un grembo costruito attorno a un fuoco narratore: presenza viva che non solo scalda, ma emoziona. E poi, il pavimento firmato Fiemme Tremila accoglie il passo con la sua vibrante matericità: nodi, profumi, leggere imperfezioni che raccontano il bosco, il tempo, la pazienza. E, ancora, il banco bar: una scultura fluida di legni recuperati, curvata a mano, accesa da luci radenti e sovrastata da un controsoffitto scenografico. Un gesto contemporaneo che dialoga con la memoria senza mai sovrastarla.
In Val di Fiemme, il design non è firma, ma lingua.

Building is not sufficient. It is vital to listen, to imagine, to touch with reverence, to recognize the silent voice of materials – the stories whispered through the knots in the wood, the grooves carved by time. It is from hands that know how to listen to matter that the new soul of Ciamp dele Strie is born, where Patrick and Katrin have filled the void with presence, transforming silence into story. At their side is the expertise of local artisans, including Defrancesco Arredamenti, who turn every space into something precise, intimate, essential. Here, materials have their own voice. Wood breathes and tells its tale, just like the large stube from 1857, which was once the beating heart of a mountain farmhouse and has now been carefully restored with philological precision. The living room opens up, welcoming and enveloping, a kind of womb built around a storytelling fire: a living presence that not only warms, but touches the soul. Then, there is the Fiemme Tremila flooring, embracing each step with its vibrant materiality: knots, scents, subtle imperfections that speak of forests, time, and patience. The bar counter is a fluid sculpture of reclaimed wood, hand-curved and lit by grazing lights, topped by a scenic ceiling installation. In Val di Fiemme, design is not a signature, it is a language. And Ciamp dele Strie is a story of wood and heart. A place you don’t just look at, but listen to.
