Più che uno store, il guscio di un paesaggio alpino. Il nuovo spazio monomarca SCARPA, progettato a Cortina d’Ampezzo da Roberto Nicoletti Architetture in collaborazione con Alessia Vardanega, è una dichiarazione d’amore alla montagna. Un luogo in cui la materia racconta una storia antica fatta di roccia, fatica, silenzio e conquista.
La pietra Dolomia e il ferro naturale ne sono i protagonisti. La prima custodisce milioni di anni di memoria, scolpita dal tempo e dagli elementi; il secondo richiama le vie ferrate, il coraggio dell’ascesa, il desiderio profondo di spingersi oltre il limite. Insieme trasformano lo spazio in un’esperienza sensoriale che restituisce l’essenza più autentica delle Dolomiti.
Affacciato sulla storica Casa dei Fratelli Ghedina, il progetto instaura un dialogo con gli affreschi esistenti e con l’eleganza discreta di Corso Italia. Non cerca di emergere, vuole appartenere. Linee essenziali, volumi puri e dettagli misurati danno forma a un ambiente che sembra modellato dalla stessa forza che ha plasmato le montagne circostanti. Gli espositori diventano presenze scultoree, frammenti di paesaggio sospesi tra natura e architettura.
In appena 34 metri quadrati prende forma un concentrato di Dolomiti: la forza della roccia, il valore del tempo, la bellezza delle cose autentiche. Ne nasce uno spazio raccolto e potente, dove design e territorio si fondono in un dialogo timeless e la montagna, per un istante, sembra entrare in città.

More than a store, it is the shell of an Alpine landscape. The new SCARPA single-brand space, designed in Cortina d’Ampezzo by Roberto Nicoletti Architetture in collaboration with Alessia Vardanega, is a love letter to the mountains. A place where materiality tells an ancient story of rock, effort, silence and conquest.
Dolomia stone and natural iron take the leading role. The former holds millions of years of memory, carved by time and the elements; the latter recalls via ferratas, the courage of ascent and the deep desire to push beyond the limit. Together, they turn the space into a sensory experience that gives back the truest essence of the Dolomites.
Set opposite the historic Casa dei Fratelli Ghedina, the project opens a dialogue with the existing frescoes and with the discreet elegance of Corso Italia. It does not try to stand out. It wants to belong. Essential lines, pure volumes and measured details shape an interior that seems to have been modelled by the same force that formed the surrounding mountains. The displays become sculptural presences, fragments of landscape suspended between nature and architecture.
Within just 34 square metres, the Dolomites are distilled into a single space: the strength of rock, the value of time, the beauty of authentic things. The result is an intimate yet powerful interior, where design and territory merge in a timeless dialogue, and the mountains seem, for a moment, to enter the city.
