Negli interventi firmati da Holz Projekt, il legno è memoria che riaffiora, natura che trova forma nell’architettura, racconto che attraversa il tempo. Qui, ogni venatura, ogni imperfezione, ogni sfumatura porta con sé l’eco del bosco da cui proviene, trasformando gli habitat in luoghi capaci di emozionare prima ancora di essere abitati.
È il caso dell’Hotel Avalanche, in Val d’Aosta, dove il fascino del legno antico recuperato incontra abete, larice e pino in una composizione che restituisce tutta la forza poetica della montagna. Qui gli ambienti si sviluppano come un unico paesaggio materico: superfici vissute, tavole segnate dal tempo e manufatti realizzati su misura si rincorrono tra in & out, creando una continuità visiva e sensoriale che avvolge l’ospite. La stessa sensibilità prende vita in un appartamento privato di 70 metri quadrati, dove l’essenza lignea diventa protagonista assoluta dell’abitare. Le superfici in legno vecchio conservano la loro patina originaria, raccontando il passaggio delle stagioni e la vita che le ha attraversate, mentre il profumo avvolgente del cirmolo accompagna i gesti quotidiani e trasforma gli ambienti più intimi in un rifugio di quiete e benessere.
Ecco che il bosco, plasmato in architettura, continua a vivere.

In the interventions by Holz Projekt, wood is memory resurfacing, nature finding form in architecture, a narrative that travels through time. Here, every grain, every imperfection and every shade carries the echo of the woodland it comes from, transforming habitats into places capable of stirring emotion even before they are inhabited.
This is the case at Hotel Avalanche, where the charm of reclaimed ancient wood meets spruce, larch and pine in a composition that restores the full poetic force of the mountains. Here, the interiors unfold as a single material landscape: lived-in surfaces, boards marked by time and bespoke pieces follow one another between indoors and outdoors, creating a visual and sensory continuity that envelops the guest.
The same sensitivity comes to life in a private apartment of 70 square metres, where wood becomes the absolute protagonist of the living space. The surfaces in old timber preserve their original patina, telling of the passing seasons and the life that has moved through them, while the enveloping scent of cirmolo pine accompanies daily gestures and transforms the most intimate rooms into a refuge of quiet and wellbeing.
And so the woodland, shaped into architecture, continues to live.
