Essere o abitare?
Non è di certo un dilemma per Maurizio Scotti, Elisa Biacoli e Giuly Marsura di Abies che danno vita a una filosofia che vede questi due concetti come inseparabili, traducendo la propria visione in realtà. Ne è emblematico esempio l’ultima creazione, firmata da tutto il team creativo, dell’Hotel Letizia, nello scenario alpino di San Martino di Castrozza: un rifugio elegante che rispecchia l’essenza di chi lo vive.
A colpire è certamente il living circolare, caratterizzato da una struttura a raggiera in legno di abete in grado di creare un punto focale invitando lo sguardo verso il camino sospeso al centro, simbolo di calore e convivialità, e verso le suppellettili di pregio che lo compongono, inno alla forza espressiva dell’estetica abitativa. Sempre qui, le ampie trasparenze inondano la stanza di luce naturale, fondendo così l’in con l’out alpino e regalando una sensazione di continuità tra abitare e natura. Un legame questo che si ritrova nell’adiacente sala da pranzo dove le pareti rivestite in legno grezzo sono un chiaro richiamo allo stile alpin chic, mentre l’arredamento moderno e le opere d’arte conferiscono all’atmosfera finale un tocco di sofisticata eleganza.
Preziosi poi, gli esterni dove una scala circolare riprende il carattere architettonico dell’edificio avvalorando ulteriormente quell’abbraccio timeless tra indoor e outdoor: a impreziosire la terrazza esterna, oltre a decòr contemporaneo, la presenza di una fontana che, nell’intreccio tra pietra e ferro, esalta la potenza della materia locale in un’unica voce: quella dell’acqua.

This is certainly not a dilemma for Maurizio Scotti, Elisa Biacoli, and Giuly Marsura of Abies, who bring to life a philosophy that sees these two concepts as inseparable, translating their vision into reality. A prime example of this is their latest creation, designed by the entire creative team, at Hotel Letizia, set in the alpine scenery of San Martino di Castrozza: an elegant retreat that reflects the essence of those who experience it.
Certainly striking is the circular living area, characterised by a radial structure made of spruce wood that creates a focal point, drawing the eye towards the suspended fireplace at the centre, a symbol of warmth and conviviality, and towards the fine furnishings that compose it, an ode to the expressive power of residential aesthetics. Here, the large transparent elements flood the room with natural light, seamlessly blending the interior with the alpine exterior and creating a sense of continuity between living and nature. This connection is also evident in the adjacent dining room, where the walls clad in raw wood clearly evoke the alpine chic style, while the modern furnishings and artworks lend an air of sophisticated elegance to the overall atmosphere.
The exterior spaces are equally precious, where a circular staircase mirrors the architectural character of the building, further enhancing the timeless embrace between indoor and outdoor. The charm of the external terrace is further enhanced by a fountain. The contemporary decor, combined with the interplay of stone and iron, highlights the power of the local materials, unified by the soothing presence of water.
